                                                    WHAT IS THE QURAN ABOUT  ?
  

 The Quran is a record of the exact words revealed by God through the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad. It was recited  by Muhammad  to his Companions as if it had been burned into his heart and mind. It was written down by scribes,  who cross-checked it during his lifetime. Not one word of its 114 chapters, Suras, has been changed over the centuries, so that the Quran is in every detail the unique and miraculous text  which was revealed to Muhammad fourteen centuries ago.

  

The Quran, the last revealed Word of God, is the prime source of every Muslim’s faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects which concern us as human beings: wisdom, doctrine, worship, and law, but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures. At the same time it provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and an equitable economic system.

                            Suratul Fatiha
    

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
The Beneficent, the Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment.
Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. Keep us on the right path.
The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom
Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray.


          
                     


                   Suratul Ikhlas

    Say: He, Allah, is One. Allah is He on Whom all depend.
     He begets not, nor is He begotten. And none is like Him.
         
        


              
                 Ayatul Kursi

    Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist;
slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His;
who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission?
He knows what is before them and what is behind them,
and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases,
His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not,
and He is the Most High, the Great.

            


                        Surat Nasr

     When there comes the help of Allah and the victory.
     And you see men entering the religion of Allah in companies.
    Then celebrate the praise of your Lord, and ask His forgiveness; surely He is oft-returning (to mercy).

         



                    Surat Al Mutaffefeen

   In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. Woe unto the defrauders,
2. Those who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full,
3. But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss,
4. Do such men not consider that they will be raised again,
5. Unto an awful Day,
6. The day when all mankind stand before The Lord of the Worlds.


         


                    Suratul Al Asr

     I seek refuge with the name of Allah from the cursed evil.
      In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
